I haven't actually read anything useful on this topic.
But try this:
- Think of the bridge group as a switch built into the router
- Think of the BVI as a router-interface connected to the switch
For those having used the C5K/C6K in hybrid mode, think of the
bridge-group as a VLAN in CatOS and the BVI as a VLAN interface
in MSFC IOS.
IRB is actually very easy.
