As I wrote, it's hardware-dependant.
Some blades (5114, 5201 (non R), 5203, 5213) don't do dot1q.
Upgrading to CatOS 5.x doesn't make them support dot1q. It's
the hardware that doesn't support that type of framing.
If 'show port capa' tells you the port doesn't do dot1q, then
it doesn't do dot1q, no matter what version of the code you're
running.
The blades that do dot1q (R models and 523x) are only suppor-
ted in software that also does dot1q (CatOS 4.1 was the first
to do so).
