You probably want to log all your access-list statements and include a deny
ip any any log with a logg buff 10000 statement. This will show you exactly
what is happening.

a perm ospf host x.x.x.x host y.y.y.y

should solve your problem

Bryan

Guys,

I dug myself into a hole on this one....

In creating the access-list for a local policy route-map for a "OSPF over
NBMA-Frame-Relay" without using the ip ospf network statement.......
I tried to save time by defining the whole 137.20.0.0/16 instead of listing
out the /20's, /24's,/27's, and /28's individulally.

What was strange was that everthing seemed to work, pings, routing tables...
even one virtual-link. When I defined the second virtual link, the both
virtual links kept going up and down and I lost all of the ospf routes on
one of the routers.

I was working on lab8a on ccbootcamp. I know there was no explicit rules
against using the ospf network statements, i was just forcing myself to do
it this way for practice.

If you have any insight why this happed please share!

Trying to save about 45 secs last night, I ended spending several hours
troubleshooting on a very basic problem. Because packets were passing
through the route-maps fine, I did not think to look there. I focused my
efforts else where.

-Thanks,
B. Keith Montgomery
