This works great for me on two routers back-to-back:

Router6:

interface ATM0
no ip address
no atm ilmi-keepalive
!
interface ATM0.1 multipoint
ip address 150.50.9.1 255.255.255.252
pvc 6/102
  protocol ip 150.50.9.1 broadcast
  protocol ip 150.50.9.2 broadcast
  encapsulation aal5snap

Router9:

interface ATM0
no ip address
atm clock INTERNAL
no atm ilmi-keepalive
!
interface ATM0.1 multipoint
ip address 150.50.9.2 255.255.255.252
pvc 6/102
  protocol ip 150.50.9.1 broadcast
  protocol ip 150.50.9.2 broadcast
  encapsulation aal5snap

You can add rate-limit and change encap, pvc, etc. Can change to
point-to-point subinterface, or just physical interface if you want. Need a
switch to do svc.

Kym
