Dave,
One thing that may help is grounding your rack. I have experienced
connecting comm equipment to a good solid earth ground fix comm equipment
many times. Also, the ground prong on your equipment may be ineffective if
the ground in your house is not properly grounded to an earth ground.

Subject: OT: Lab causing interference w/cable modem
Anyone out there have problems with their equipment rack interfering with an
internet connection? I power up my rack, and my cable modem connection gets
nothing but errors. I've moved the modem away from the rack as far as
possible, with no improvement. What the heck??? Does anybody have any ideas
for me? I've tried testing individual pieces of equipment, and most notably
causing the problem are a 7000 and a 4500.
thanks in advance,
Dave
