Well, I'm not completely sure, but I think there is a difference. Tell me if
I am wrong but I think you have to configure the clock source since there is
no switch providing it. That command is there under the same link.

There's nothing special about PVCs between routers, as opposed to having a
switch in-between. The PVC configuration task list from the below article
will get you there. It worked for me.
