Hi, Group,
I have a question here about route filtering.
In Jeff's book ( VOLUME 1) page 780, he mentions that
172.16.190.0/24 IS restributed from rip to OSPF and
then advertise back to router Cruncher, the route will
be treated as route learned by OSPF, I have done this
scenario, and I follow exactly what he says, But I
don't see that the route is marked as OSPF learned
routes. it's RIP learned route.
I think that the redistribution router Cruncher is
smart enough to know that the router is redistributed
from RIP to OSPF.
Actually, In the lab, I don't use any distribute-list
in the beginning, all the routes know where they are
from and I think that we don't need redistribution in
this scenario. AM i missing something here?
Can any person here explain me what happens in the
book and why I don't get the result.
Regards
michael
