IPEXPERT 20-4 DLSW & TRB Questions

If anyone understands the DLSW section of ipexpert.net Lab 20-4, I see the
solutions but still don't understand a couple things:

1) We're suppose to configure transparent bridging between R2-E0 and
R4-E1/0. R2 has E0 and S0.104 both in bridge-group 2 ... so far, so good
... but R4 has only E1/0 in bridge-group 2. What is it bridged to?
Shouldn't R4-S1.401 also be in bridge-group 2?

2) What allows R8-ring2 to reach R1-ring1? I see the ring-group 10 on both
R1 and R8, but they are both peered only with R7 as instructed. Is it the
fact the R7 and R8 are both in peer-group 70 that allows R8 to connect to
R7's peer?

3) On R7, why is DLSW bridged to E1/0 (bridge-group 10)? Does that have
anything to do with my question #2 (connecting R1 and R8 via ring-group 10)?

I've read Nam-Kee's DLSW book twice and everything else I can find on DLSW
but still don't understand simple things like this. I'm hoping this
scenario will be what opens the door for me. Someone please try to explain
these to me.

Thanks. Kym
