For the older bootroms, you can change the boot mode (when at the ">" prompt)
by issuing the o/r command followed by the config register change required.

I believe the command needed (check to be sure) is o/r 0x2101. Use "i" on the
next line to reboot the router. It should come up in boot mode and allow you to

upload new IOS to it.
