I don't recall you saying that you tried turning debugging on.
I would run debug ip packet and/or debug ip routing on a few of the
routers and see what type of traffic is occurring at about the
same time your dialer is coming up.
I like to have ntp running on the routers so that the sequence of
events in the debug traces can be accurately known.
