Strange : RE: eigrp auto-summary and a null 0 route

I just tested it and It is generating a summary route
for 168.71.x.x as /16 address pointing to Null 0.

One catch is that I am using IOS 12.0(8) and it does
not allow me to put the mask along with eigrp
commands.

Probably the mask is what making the difference.
