I would recommend you just keep checking the lab dates once a week,
seems they keep releasing new dates every few weeks. Where do you want
to take you lab at? RTP has dates open in January right now.

Subject: CCIE Written expire and lab date quandry
I have searched Cisco.com and the groupstudy archives
and I cannot find the answer.
My written expires in June and the first available lab
exam date is in July. I even tried scheduling the exam
in July and then try to work a trade for an earlier
date but it is too smart for that. I have emailed
cisco regarding this but they have not responded yet
probably back logged due to the holidays.
My question is, can I re-take the Written exam now
instead of waiting until it expires? I do not want to
wait until June to retake the written and then wait
another 7-8 months after that to schedule the Lab. But
I do not know if cisco will let me re-take the Written
before it expires, does anyone know?
I am an idiot, I thought there would be plenty of open
seats due to the lab going to the one day format, I
was really wrong about that.
