Check the archives of this list.. basically you will need all this stuff ...

file://snip//

To prepare for your lab, you'll need a few things:
1) Hardware for practice (at least 6-8 routers, an isdn sim, and a cat
switch)
2x 2503
2x 2513
1x 2520 or 2522 (or another frame-switch)
1x 2509
1x cat5k
1x isdn sim
^^^ that's the minimum, I'd add a few more routers if you can.

2) Basic/Medium lab scenarios:
$50 or so - All-in-One Cisco(r) CCIE(tm) Lab Study Guide by Stephen Hutnik,
Michael Satterlee ISBN 0-07-212760-0

FREE - Fatkid labs (medium difficulty)
$400+ IPExpert Labs (medium difficulty)
$70 Cisco Press Practical Studies 70 Labs (basic)
$?? Cisco CCIE CIM Practice labs (5 or so labs, medium level)

3) Advanced Lab Scenerios
$650 - CCBootcamp Labs (lab #8, and labs 15-20, #20 is also very hard!)

4) Misc. Books:
Halabi
Caslow
Doyle

Everyone's methodology varies, and the lab mentioned above is one of the
better ones, you can live with less (like substitute the ISDN SIM with dial
out via aux port)
