I am working on the following configuration
R4------R1------ R2 -------- R3------- R4
R1, R2 and R3 are running OSPF with area 0.0.0.0 also
the I/F facing the router R4.
i am alx.so running iBGP betwee R1 and R3 but not on
R2. also R1 and R3 are running eBGP with R4. There are
two routes advertise by R4 11.0.0.0/24 and 12.0.0.0/8.
I have set the local preference to be higher for route
11.0.0.0 via R1 and R2 has higher local preference for
12.0.0.0.
These two routes are redistributed by ospf on R1 and
R2 with everything as default(no route-map, filters
etc). The routes redistributed by R1 and R3 appear in
the database in the R2.
But R1 has best route for both the network via the
external BGP and so do the router R3.
The show ip bgp X.X.X.X show that the routes are not
synchronized.
Both the RID for OSPF and BGP are same.
Can anyone help
