Try putting 'async default routing' on the line. I think that's needed.
I'm assuming you don't have 'passive asy1' in your OSPF config.

Subject: aux with "No Hellos"?????

hi,dear all,
firstly,happy new year 2 u all!!! :-)

when i configured 2 routers(2500) with aux which r taken as serial lines,i
met some problem :

R4#sh ip ospf int asy 1
Async1 is up, line protocol is up
  Internet Address 139.1.1.4/29, Area 1
Process ID 1, Router ID 139.4.4.4, Network Type POINT_TO_POINT, Cost:
11111
Transmit Delay is 1 sec, State POINT_TO_POINT,
Timer intervals configured, Hello 10, Dead 40, Wait 40, Retransmit 5
No Hellos (Passive interface) ---------------------PAY ATTENTION PLZ!!!
Index 1/5, flood queue length 0
  Next 0x0(0)/0x0(0)
Last flood scan length is 0, maximum is 0
Last flood scan time is 0 msec, maximum is 0 msec
Neighbor Count is 0, Adjacent neighbor count is 0
  Suppress hello for 0 neighbor(s)
---------------------------------------
so,of course ,they CAN'T be neighbors.|
---------------------------------------
and the configuration:
......
interface Async1
 ip address 139.1.1.4 255.255.255.248
 encapsulation ppp
 async dynamic routing
 async mode dedicated
.........
line aux 0
 modem InOut
 transport input all
 speed 38400
 flowcontrol hardware

yes,it DOES work when i "PING",and i can c each other with "sh cdp nei"
btw,it DOESN'T work in "eigrp" also!!! ('cauze passive hello,i think)

what's wrong,and how can i correct it?
thank u all!
