I have a Olicom 8600 that is running the Cisco 4.1(3) 3900 image. Would
this be any differant than a real 3900 or 3920 running 4.1(3). The reason I
ask is because on my switch you have to enter the ring and bridge numbers in
decimal format between 1 and 1001. Could this be the way it is on the new
images, but maybe the older versions were hex, or am I missing something?
Thanks
Michael

Now in addition to that hour of generalities, a key to the 3920 token
switch
is to be able to convert ring #'s into HEX. The 3920 requires that you
enter #'s in a HEX format. This frankly is ridiculous but none the less it
is required.
Maybe thats one of the reasons I have never encountered one in the field nor
met anyone that has encountered one in the field.................
User friendly.............. NOT. On the bright side, all my techie
friends think I am really cool now that I can do conversions and it keeps
the
salaries up.
