Ok folks,
I've just discovered something really strange. I currently have two
7206VXR/NSE-1 running multihop bgp. Between the two 7206, I have NAT/HSRP
running as well. If I turn on IP CEF, my network thoughput is dog
slow. If I turn off IP CEF, it's extremely fast. So I'm guessing with
NSE-1, since it has that parallel express forwarding(PXF) feature, it
doesnt need to use IP CEF? Now does it mean CEF is software based? And
NSE-1 is hardware based? I appreciate for any comments. Thanks.
What's also weird is I got other 7206VXR/NPE300 routers running with IP
CEF and they run great!
You can see my config on the below url. Just log in and type: show conf

Happy new year.
