I bought the 3920 simulator and really like it. You navigate through the
menus and set up vlans and log off. Since the software stays on your hard
disk, next time you log in, the configuration is still there like it would
be in a real 3920, so you can delete or add more VLANs. Of course, you
cannot integrate it into your real lab. I bought several token ring hubs
for that ($5 each on eBay).

Another excellent way to get experience is to dial in and practice with a
real 3920. Several on-line labs have rental racks with 3920s. One of the
best bargains is selling access time on eBay for $20. One session is
enough; maybe another if you want a refresher a few months later:

Either approach will give you the experience you need to create additional
VLANs. You sure don't want to fumble around with this during the exam.
