Is that a joke?
<p>
Is Wal-Mart really selling this book?
<p>
If so, then it may be true that everyone and his brother are studying
for the CCIE.
<p>
Yes. I know. Many may try, few will succeed," and "there is always
room for the very good yada yada yada", but somehow I thought I was
pursuing a rare or arcane quest.
<p>
The figure at one time was 1700 CCIE written passes a month, but there
are perhaps 20-30K lab each year, even with the new slots available, and
a lot of those lab attempts are folks taking it for the second or third
time. Are there a boatload of people who are passing the written test
and then finding soon thereafter that the CCIE looks unattainable to
them (equipment, time, sanity, etc.)?
