Correct, but IOS version specific. True for 12.1 but not for 12.0
IOS 12.0.9 - debug ip bgp
4d13h: BGP: 200.0.0.2 open active, local address 200.0.0.4
4d13h: BGP: 200.0.0.2 sending OPEN, version 4
4d13h: BGP: 200.0.0.2 received NOTIFICATION 2/2 (peer in wrong AS) 2 bytes
0FA0 -- Local AS
4d13h: BGP: 200.0.0.2 closing
However, you missed the point. The point was to expand your knowledge and to
pick around (think outside the box) you will not have time to do so later.
Also to know your packets and know how to decode the hex without the help of
the Expert mode in Sniffer products. You have a limited number of tools use
them well.
