Type of module in the Cat switch in the lab

Is it ok to inquire about the type of switch and the modules it contains in
the actual? Does the switch vary from lab to lab? Any reccomendations on the
best switch to get for preparing for the lab?

I have access to a Cat 5005 with a Sup II. I need to figure out what would
be the best blade to put in it for the greatest bang for the buck. Or wether
to buy a different switch.
