Hi group:
On ccbootcamp lab #19 Task Two item 5, it states
to configure dynamic dlsw peers between R2 & R6.
Since the solution presented has R6 configured as
promiscuous and R2's dlsw remote peer statement had
keepalive 0
doesn't this mean the command below should be present
enable for it to work?
dlsw prom-peer-default
According to Cisco doc:
http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/cc/pd/ibsw/ibdlsw/prodlit/dlsw3_rg.htm
It states:The keepalive parameter refers to how often
DLSw+ peers send peer keepalives to each other. If you
set this to zero, no keepalives are sent, and hence
the peer keepalive will not keep the dial line up.
This parameter must be specified in both peers, which
means that you must either specify the remote peers at
both the local and remote DLSw+ routers, or you must
use the dlsw prom-peer-default command to set
keepalive to zero for all promiscuous peer
connections.
So does this mean ccbootcamp's lab19 solution is
incorrect?
Thanks for all inputs.
Regard,
Paul Young.
