I always do.
Adding 'soft' also allows you to use the 'received-routes'
parameter for 'sh ip bgp neigh', which basically is exactly
what is says, the routes that you receive, i.e. *before* you
apply filtering etc. That alone makes 'soft' well worth the
extra memory that you need.
