The only points of contention that I see are the use of RFC #s, 1577 has
been replace by 2225 Classical IP w/ support for redundant ARP servers and
1483 has been replaced by 2684 Multiprotocol over ATM.

You may see another possible scenario, Do CLIP over PVC with InATMARP
disabled. Your solution with the new PVC method does not do this because
InATMARP is enabled by default.

The only way that I have able to get this to work is to use the old pvc
method map-class/map-group because InATMARP is disabled by default. Food for
thought.
