I do not believe that you need any token ring interfaces for DLSW+.
It's just that DLSW+ has the useful feature of translating between
Ethernet and token ring segments, so it is made for an environment that
will usually contain at least some token ring devices.
Go ahead and try it with all Ethernet LAN interfaces. You will learn a
lot, anyway.
Personally, I've grown quite fond of token ring. And you can often save
a little on routers by choosing one with only a token ring interface (no
ethernet). 2502 is usually less than 2501. 2504 is usually less than
2503. 2521 is usually a cheaper frameswitch router than the 2520. 2523
cheaper than 2522.

Subject: DLSW w/out To0 ?
Sorry for the dumb question but-
I want to practice DLSW variations but do not have a Token Ring
interface on my routers.
What types of DLSW can I do and what types cannot I do?
For the types that I cannot do, is there anyway around it? (A virtual
token interface, or something? - I doubt it but thought that it was
worth asking).
Thanks,
David
