Does anyone have an opinion on the Boson Router simulator? I'm wondering if
its a suitable alternative to actual rack time while traveling.

I saw it here:

Any thoughts?

yes it learns NetBIOS names dynamically under those conditions. My router
picks up my t/r connected laptop as a NetBIOS name.

Good question - I'd guess it becomes confirmed when it replies to a
broadcast request.

you should be able to ping their NetBIOS names (and/or addresses) from the
ROUTERS, and they should show up in each others Network Neighborhood (or
whatever it is that Win2k calls the local networks now, My Network Places,
Microsoft Windows Network, ad nauseum)
