In DLSW,Is LSAP Filter related to local interface?

Buddies:
       I know that LSAP can filter packet based on DSAP/SSAP,but cisco
interface including ethernet and tokenring both are not IEEE802.2 SAP
encapsulation by default,can we still use LSAP filter on this interface or
just change default encapsulation method?
