It is a layer 3 switch, every interface is set to bridge, there are no ip
addresses on any of the interfaces, there is one BVI10 interface and there
are multiple bridge groups, 10, 20, and 30 and a router is hanging off one
of the ports (trunk) for inter-vlan routing.
If a PC attached to one of the interfaces has its default-gateway set to
the BVI10, what will happen? Will the BVI do anything with the data since
all interfaces are set to bridge and there are no ip addresses on any? Will
it possibly bridge it out all ports and it eventually will get to the router
for Inter-Vlan routing? I have one PC with its default-gateway as the BVI
and the data does get to the other Vlans. Some latency though.
