Subject: Virtual link question
Hi, ccielab#!
I setup virtual link on to kind of network. One kind of network is all
frame-raley pvc network, another kind of network include ISDN. I remember
"virtual link on ISDN will let the ISDN never down" in the TCP/IP v1, and I
saw it has happen. But when I show the virtual link status, I feel it's
strange. So pls see the following:
Virtual Link OSPF_VL0 to router 10.1.1.1 is up
Run as demand circuit
DoNotAge LSA allowed.
Transit area 0, via interface BRI0/0, Cost of using 1563
Transmit Delay is 1 sec, State POINT_TO_POINT,
Timer intervals configured, Hello 10, Dead 40, Wait 40, Retransmit 5
Hello due in 00:00:06
Message digest authentication enabled
No key configured, using default key id 0
If I show the virtual link status on the all frame-relay network, I saw the
following:
Virtual Link OSPF_VL0 to router 10.1.2.1 is up
Run as demand circuit
DoNotAge LSA allowed.
Transit area 1234, via interface Serial0/1, Cost of using 1
Transmit Delay is 1 sec, State POINT_TO_POINT,
Timer intervals configured, Hello 10, Dead 40, Wait 40, Retransmit 5
Hello due in 00:00:07
Adjacency State FULL (Hello suppressed)
Index 2/3, retransmission queue length 0, number of retransmission 1
First 0x0(0)/0x0(0) Next 0x0(0)/0x0(0)
Last retransmission scan length is 1, maximum is 1
Last retransmission scan time is 0 msec, maximum is 0 msec
Message digest authentication enabled
No key configured, using default key id 0
So why the adjacency state in ISDN virtual link network is not FULL. I have
checked my config, I thinked no problem.
So pls give me you advice!!!
Thanks a lot!!!
Best Regards!!!
