Looking for confirmation about something:
- one of the docs stated that when you use the
"priority" keyword with dlsw, the four queues are set
up (using tcp ports 2065, 1981-1983) and the ip
precedence is set accordingly. I only found that in
one place. The key item here is the ip precedence is
set accordingly.
- other references show the use of priority queueing
instead and put tcp port 2065 in the high queue.
I take this to mean that if you use the "priority"
keyword in dlsw you don't need to priority queueing
also (priority-list 1 prot blah blah)
And with using just priority queueing (i.e. not using
the "priority" keyword in dlsw) you can put dlsw
traffic is put in a single priority queue. Taking
that a step further, I wouldn't expect you could even
use tcp ports 1981-1983 in priority queueing since
dlsw would only use port 2065 (unless using the
"priority" keyword).
I would also expect that using the "priority" keyword
in dlsw and also using priority queueing an manually
putting 2065 in high, 1981 in medium, etc, would just
be redundant and probably would be seen as a
misconfiguration.
Naturally, there is also sap-priority but I don't want
to confuse things too much in one e-mail...
Am I on track? Comments appreciated.
