Hey Brad,
No, I kind of agree with you on the Security Cert being more valuable in the op
en market. I think this is just a good progression
track for many. As far as C/S, it is good for the Service Provider people. I
have a buddy that works in another building and
is a CCNP WAN but they took the CCIE WAN track away before he can start it. Th
e big thing about the WAN was the availability
of the equipment and he had access to quite a handful of stratacoms but that do
es not matter now. So the closest thing
he can now go for is the C/S CCIE. Which the stratacoms only come in to play a
s a written portion but it is the closest thing
for him.
I will check out the rack info.
thanks
Paul

As a matter of fact, YES, we are going to offer (2) racks for the CCIE Securi
ty track. We are in the process of announcing our CCIE Security lab package as
well. You can find out more info at: http://www.ccbootcamp.com/securitylab.ht
ml As far as the C/S track goes, it looks quite a bit more involved than the Se
curity or R&S certs, so Im going to stay away from it for now. My current cons
ulting clients fit very nicely with the Security cert, so it wasn't too bad to
prepare for. Although, I did attempt the ISP Dial lab over a year ago, and I s
aid that was going to be my last trip to visit Building C in San Jose...so I gu
ess you never know! Plus, I don't think my girlfriend can take anymore of me b
eing so stressed out! :) I think the R&S and Security are more valuable in the
general consulting market. I could be distorted by my current projects, so if
I'm off base, please let me know. I dont know how applicable C/S is for the g
eneral public. Is there that much interest in the C/S track??? (Even if I am
the same moron that thought ISP/Dial would be huge...)
thanks,
-Brad Ellis
