Hello Group,
I need some clarification on configuring NLSP, specifically on the interface
where Caslow states that the 'ipx nlsp rip off' and the 'ipx nlsp sap off'
commands need to be entered into the interface that contains the 'ipx nlsp
enable' command.
>From the DocCD, it states that the default mode is 'auto' meaning that only
if another router sends RIP or SAP will the router participate. So should I
still use the 'ipx nlsp sap/rip off' commands?
I also found that it seems like if you turn RIP off using 'no network' in
the RIP routing process, SAPs will still get sent out even through the
loopbacks!! How can I stop SAP broadcasted via my loopbacks??
09:28:48: IPXRIP: RIP turned off, skip positing update to Ethernet0
09:28:55: IPXRIP: RIP turned off, skip positing update to Loopback0
09:29:01: IPXSAP: positing update to BBEE00.ffff.ffff.ffff via Loopback0
(broadc
ast) (full)
09:29:04: IPXRIP: RIP turned off, skip positing update to Serial0
Thanks
Albert
