This is the usual problem with the bundled version of Hyperterminal, in 2000
the break key didn't work.

You can go to the hargreaves site (see help/about) and down load the
personal version from there.

This does work, I'm using it as we speak !

Subject: Hyperterminal in XP

Hi Folks,
When I use hyperterminal in Windows XP, the arrow keys
automatically append a carriage return rendering the keys useless. Does
anyone know the proper setting to change the behavior to the normal
terminal behavior? I've tried ANSI and VT100 but the arrow keys are
still out of whack. Is anyone else experiencing this problem (bug)?
Thanks,
Mau.
