 ip address 10.1.1.1 255.255.255.0 ! would set the IP address
 ip address 10.1.2.1 255.255.255.0 ! would overwrite the previous ip address
and thus break IP
 ip address 10.1.2.1 255.255.255.0 secondary ! would create a 2nd IP

with 19 days to go, if this were truly the problem, you'll need to work on
the capabilities of secondary addresses.
