They encourage you to not bring things like pagers and cell phones into the lab
since they'll be confiscated and held for the duration anyway.
Bringing in colored pens/pencils, drawing templates, erasers/correction tape, e
tc. shouldn't pose any problem. They will supply you with scratch paper and wil
l number each piece so they can make sure they get back all of it.
Which leads to this bit of advice: Listen very carefully to the proctor when he
or she is going over the lab rules, etc. If you are to receive x number of pie
ces of scratch paper, make sure that is what you have waiting for you at your a
ssigned station! You don't want to be accused to smuggling out information.
