Because your customer is multihomed to different AS's (not asses - haha I am
feeling rather corny this morning), load balancing is not an option for
them, load sharing is. See:

There are alot of variables involved in coming up with the exact design for
load sharing w/ BGP in a multihomed environment. Based on what you
provided, I suggest that you use AS-path prepending instead of subnet
masking to influence inbound traffic. Is your customer using only 1
contiguous IP block? If so, where is the NATing occurring?
