DLSW+ and DDR? (Config Cisco Routers for Desktop, DLSW - NAM-KEE Chpt. 3)

Could use some help. Nam-kee chapter 3 on Dlsw+, DDR section states that
dynamic and no-llc is required for both the primary and backup. I've tried
several combinations and can't get this to work. Checked the Doc CD and
can't find an explaination either. When configuring I can use either,
dynamic and no-llc, or backup-peer but not both. Does anyone know if both
backup-peer and dynamic (ddr) can be used on the same remote-peer?
