idle too long; timed out

All,
I have my remote lab configured and am accessing it from work.
However, I would like my term server to keep the connection to
the last router I was on, but I keep getting idle too long and
timed out and have to reestablish connection to all my routers.
DOes anybody know how I can fix this?
