Hi All,

I was reading the SNMP configuration guide from Cisco and I came up with the
concept of an 'EngineID' for SNMP. The guide does not explain what the
engineID was nor when it is used. This concept is new to me; does anyone
know what the engineID is and how, and when it is used. Books I've read
(Doyle) does not mention the engineID so I was wondering when and where it
would be relevant.
