I never had the 2 day lab to compare with, but I know several that have...

After my "day from hell" this week I might say that this test is every bit
as challenging if not more so.

You'd best know your stuff cold... no tinkering time.

That said, I think it is pretty fair, and I'm quite impressed with how they
have retained the validity of the exam. If you know your stuff, work calmly
and rationally, and don't go down any rat holes (like I did), it's certainly
passable. Some pretty bright folks who worked to pare this down to the 1 day
format.

I think existing CCIE's can fear not, there will still be no "Paper CCIE's"
running around....

many folks on the list have stated this in previous threads, but the
attack
on the United States definitely had an effect on CCIE candidates being
able
to sit the exam, so the calculations for October may be skewed because
of
that event.
