You're running SUPIII right (according to your bootflash)? If so, the
console takes a straight through cable. Not sure why Cisco decided to
change the pinouts for the SUPIIIs.
Also, on CatOS switches, you can just hit enter w/in 30secs of bootup and
you've just performed password recovery! <G>
So the normal troubleshooting applies here:
1) Get rid of HyperCrap and get something decent (Tera Term is free and
robust, ZOC -www.emtec.com is pretty damn powerful)
2) Make sure you have a known good cable.
3) Make sure you settings are 8N1 with no flow control
With the straght through cable, do you see anything during bootup?
