I tried to do the back to back thing and it didn't work for me. I am using a
Marconi switch in the middle and I was having issues trying to get this to
work too, so I have learned quite a bit about what options have to be the
same, so maybe they were the things I was doing wrong when I was trying the
back to back thing?
Anyways both sides of the connection need to be set identical when
concerning scrambling the cell-payload. I noticed the older Cisco code
didn't even have that option.
I also had to assure that both sides of the connection are using the same
version of UNI. Also Marconi said they are working through descrepancies
with Cisco's implementation of UNI version 4.0 and they feel Cisco's is not
correct. They recommended using UNI version 3.1 instead and had me manually
set the switch to version 3.1 and then on the router I set it to use UNI
version 3.1. So you might want to manually set the UNI version on both?
Just trying to help, I don't know if it will, but maybe it will?
