Each VLAN looks like another adapter, a "virtual adapter," if you will, and the
y appear as such in Windows Device Manager, etc. Individual IP addresses can be
bound to these "virtual adapters."
Note that there may be evolving issues regarding how services like WINS, DHCP,
NetBEUI, etc. are handled. For example, the WINS server process might only resp
ond to requests coming in on the first VLAN, multihomed DHCP can add a lot of j
oy to your day, etc.
