Your story is very inspiring Bob. Congrats and God bless you as you proceed.
Remember to mention your proctor in your prayers.
Austin.

Congrats! Your determination has paid off. My lab date will be in Feb of
next year.. give me sometime to prepare. If you or anyone have any lab
scenarios that you have on soft copy can you email it to me at
johnnyt@netcat.com ?
I have the bootcamp labs, but anything right now will be helpful for the new
format.

I got my number on Friday 28th September and what can I say that has not
already been said before? My personal story is this was my third attempt. I
failed in May with a score of 75 and did exactly the same in June. This was
a test on my preseverance, dedication and endurance as much as anything
else. It was tough all the way through and the lab I passed was in my
opinion the toughest.
I must just mention the proctor because he was aware that I had gone close
on my previous two occasions and would not tell me my score at any stage. He
kept encouraging me and telling me to concentrate and I'd be ok.
Troubleshooting was so tough. In the 1st hour I thought I'd blown it. By the
end I thought it was going to be the same old story. One voice in my head
kept telling me that it wasn't over until it was over. I'm glad I listened
because the proctor told me that my troubleshooting pulled me through!
Words can't describe how that felt. I put in so so many hours of reading and
practice I cannot tell you how much but suffice to say I got my CCNA in June
1999 and it's been a hard slog since.
To all those on this list, especially the guys and girls who have helped me
out, many thanks. Thanks to Paul for running this list. I've been on this
list since the beginning of the year and most of the answers to recent posts
can be found in the archives but there's nothing wrong with that. This list
is a sounding board and I never had any problems with OT stuff (just used
the delete key if I wasn't in the mood!).
To all those aspiring CCIEs......you can do it, take the advice of all those
posts from other members who have passed.
Bob
