It's such a tremendous relief that it's now my turn to write this email.

I took my lab. test in Brussels Thursday/Friday last week, and passed on my
first attempt.
I felt I knew my stuff and stood a reasonable chance of passing, and the
lab. assigments I got suited me well.
Therefore it was a nerve wrecking experience to watch the points disappear
one by one during evaluation, but I did make some stupid mistakes.
My proctor was Stephanie, and she was great! She was strict but fair, and
very helpful with clarifying issues.

I started 1= year ago with no certification, but several years og networking
experience, and went thru' CCNA and CCNP.
The CCNA/P probably prolonged the process, but it also gave me some good
milestones in the process, and helped me feel I achieved something on the
way.

I've basically used the same materials as everyone else, and lots of lots of
lab time with all the core stuff.
I'd say Doyle 1+2, Caslow, Halabi + the Lan Switching and Multicast books
were my best references.
I took the Cisco Advanced Workshop ("boot camp") at Horizon in Denmark in
June, and that helped me a lot in my final preparations.

I've took extensive notes from all the books, which helped me during the
last weeks of preparations.
I studied very little in Brussels, although I had my portable with me, and
focused on getting some rest.
I'd brought a stack of "reference sheets" on the configs. Just short notes
on how to do e.g. SR/TLB ....
I got up really early before the test and used the sheets to "refresh" my
memory before going to the lab.
I probably didn't need it, but they gave me some sort of confidence.

Although a high volume list (in my world) this group helped me a lot too in
my final preparations, and I'm grateful for that!
I learned a lot, got some great tips, and in the final weeks I also
challenged myself with the questions on the list,
comparing my own answers to what showed up on the list.

Now I look forward to getting my life back.

My congratulations to the other guys who made it that day.
