Some more info on the Security CCIE from Cisco..
"Currently we are re-evaluating the presence of IDS on the lab testing.
Thus, currently it is not in the test. We are looking at moving to the CSPM
platform but it will take some time to get there. Please feel free to email
me for updates on this position."
So do not believe the lab blueprint that clearly states IDS is in there.....

Boris,
I believe there is a company that has a "FrankenPix" for under $2k. We are
looking at using them for our PIXes that we will be adding in our racks soon
to support the CCIE Security cert. I think they have 128MB of DRAM and 16MB
of flash and will run PIX OS V6.0. Email me offline for more info.
thanks,
