The BEST value is a Cisco CS500 if you can find one, --a 16 port model uses
standard cisco console cables, --no octopus cable and it's easy to set up.
The IOS is not easy to upgrade from the 9.X or whatever, because it's in
ROM, --but who cares if you never upgrade it, --it runs just fine on old
code.

Subject: OT - Terminal Server Solution
Hello,
Can anyone help with designing a Terminal Server solution for twelve devices
within and IP network please...I am particularly looking for recommendations
as to hardware platform and operating system. Windows Terminal Server has
been suggested..anyone used it before? Any other recommendations regarding
redundancy eg two machines, multiple async ports etc? Your help would be
much appreciated.
Regards,
Eugene
