Oops sorry guys! Yes the redistribute static did propogate it into the
entire network I just forgot that EIGRP EX routes adminitrative weight was
170 and I had my static set as 120 because I used OSPF and it was 110 and I
was thinking EIGRP was 90 all the way. My mistake and I am sorry. Thanks
for all the help.

I guess where I am confused is that, I do understand that redistribute
static did work, but only to the routers that are neighbors. With OSPF it
redistributed the default route into the entire network. The network I
wanted to inject through out the whole network is 0.0.0.0. With OSPF it
works. I need the default route learned via a dyanmic routing protocol for
failover. Would I have to configure stub networks with EIGRP. The reason
for all this is because I am using floating statics.

Use the default network statement or in newer versions of the IOS, EIGRP
will recognize the 0.0.0.0 static route.

I have a stupid question. How do you inject a defaut route with eigrp?
With OSPF you can use the default originate command but how is this done
with EIGRP. Is it by redistributing a static route into EIGRP or is there a
simple command like default originate. Thanks
