If you were going to create a loopback interface, you could give it a
classful address and mask outside of the classful network in question and
make it your default network...

Instead of creating a summary static route to null0 and redistributing
static, couldn't you also create a loopback whose IP address and mask was a
summary of the networks your trying to propagate, then redistribute
connected?
