Having done my WWW research, I have also contacted itouch (the company
formerly known as Xyplex) for support. I have found out the following:
- The 1600 series used a flash card to store the system image, the 1500
does not. Both are Y2K non-compliant.
- Neither 1500 or 1600 are "currently supported", although you can still
get the 1600 flash card and software. The 1500 software is not available
- Itouch is not interested in supporting you if your unit was bought on
ebay, they have been "flooded" with support calls due to the volume of
these units resold at auction.
The nerve of those people to not support me after I paid $31 ($20+
shipping) for the unit!
I would like to say that if I can gather the resources (docs, software) to
make this pig to work, I will gladly share my findings with the group.

I have one of the 16xx models, and it's great! Pain in the butt to learn
to
use though. :)
I have no idea what is different between mine and yours though. Check out
www.xyplex.com, which I think forwards you to the nbase.com web site now.
In any event, there's some links to docs on there, but you may need to
purchase a support contract to get the software for it! That irritated me
when I started using it, but it's STILL significantly cheaper than a 2511,
and has more than twice the ports. :)

I have one of these that I would like to use in my lab. The unit boots and
looks for a software image to load.
1). Does anyone have the software for this unit
2). Can generic bootp/tftp server be used to load the image
3). Working config / any docs would be helpful
Any assistance would be appreciated.
